Cristian Lai

Senior Researcher

Cristian Lai is a senior Researcher in CRS4 Edutech team. He holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science Technologies and a Ph.D. in Computer Science. He has been working at CRS4 since 2000. He is committed to research, technology scouting, and project management. He developed solutions in the field of distributed applications and tools for the inclusion of visually impaired pupils in mainstream education. In 2016, as an applicant to an H2020 Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship call, in partnership with the University of Lincoln in the field of Semantic Sensor Networks and Robotics, he was awarded the MSCA Seal of Excellence. Cristian led several industrial partnerships with local SME and start-ups. He co-founded Datinanta, a non-profit association promoting crowdsourced Open Data in Sardinia. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute. He has more than 50 publications on ICT and Learning and is a reviewer for several major Computer Science conferences and journal scientific committees. He is also an independent evaluator of project proposals for MIUR, the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, and other Public Bodies.
